In the midst of our state's and nation’s response to the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) I want you to know that Tools of Her Trade is committed to the safety of my customers and associates. I am monitoring the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), government agencies, to stay on top of this evolving situation.

It is very important to me that I do my part to help keep the community and my own family as safe as possible during this time, so I will wear a mask when I come into your home, and will keep my distance.

I'm looking forward to working with you.

Who says a woman can't fix stuff?

Wouldn't you rather have a woman working in your home?

I'll get it done, even with the kids running around.

My Personal Remodel

After over 25 years in the "business world" I decided it was time to remodel myself. Honestly, I loved the daily brain crunch, strategic planning, business development, innovation, etc. etc. until...I didn't.

One morning, I was in the shower looking at a window that was rotting and mildewed. I thought OY, I have to get a handyman out to do this. And I don't know when I'm going to be home, and how do I find someone (my mind started spiraling out of control...) until I realized that I can fix that!

And that I did. It looks great, by the way.

I decided that I want (and get) to do something that I get a lot of joy from. Believe it or not, that happens when I pick up a hammer, saw, screwdriver, and my trusty level and start building and fixing things. And, not to brag, but I'm good at it.

So here I am. Ready to get going and get it done using the tools of MY trade.

My Trades

My Schedule

My Prices

My normal hours are

M-F from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm

This is mainly because I want to be around when my kids get home from school.

For quick jobs after 3:00 pm or weekends, give me a text or call and I'll see what I can do. (no promises!)

To schedule a free estimate, click the schedule now button below, email or call/text 317-658-2973.

Sorry, I don't do:

  • Plumbing

  • Major electrical

  • Ceiling Fans

  • Bathroom light vents

I will always tell you if I am unable to do something!  No point in potentially messing anything up!

It feels good to know up front what you're going to pay for service, doesn't it?

I do not do fix-bid projects.

I charge a flat $55 /hour with a one-hour minimum.

Just like most in-home service providers, payment is due at the time of service.

Along with the hourly rate, I charge for work supplies specific to the project. These are supplies I need to do the work. These are different from work materials - items I purchase specifically for a job (grout, wood, paint, etc.). Please click here for more details.

There are some situations, though, when I charge $75/hour with a one-hour minimum:

  • If I have to climb higher than windows on a 2nd story.

  • If I need to be on a ladder and there is water involved (power washing)

  • Other - I'll let you know when I give you the estimate.

please don't try to negotiate with leads to bad feelings for everyone

My Service Area

As much as I'd love to be able to provide my services all around the city... my main service area is around

North of 79th St.     East of Michigan Rd.     West of Keystone.    South of 161st

I'm happy to go outside of this area, but there may be a $55 trip charge.

But, if you hire me, I will apply the $55 to the cost of the job!
